Another doctor dies of Coronavirus

Another doctor died of Covid-19 at Chattogram Medical College Hospital on Saturday.
“Deceased Dr Arif Hasan was a general practitioner. He was one of the 49th batch of students of Chattogram Medical College Hospital,” the hospital’s Deputy Director Dr Akhtarul Islam said.
Dr Arif was admitted to the hospital’s Coronavirus Ward with fever six days ago. On Friday, he was shifted to a private hospital in Chattogram.
But he was brought back to CMCH after deterioration of his health condition. He died shortly after midnight; the CMCH deputy director said it.
With this, at least 31 doctors have died of Covid-19 and five others died with coronavirus-like symptoms, said Dr. Shahed Rafi Pavel, Chairman of Bangladesh Doctors’ Foundation.
He urged the Health Ministry to take more safety measures for the doctors and other health workers as they directly deal with the coronavirus patients.
