‘All problems can be solved if people stay together’

Lt. General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home and Agriculture Adviser to the interim government, emphasized that while the flood’s impact is severe, unity among people can resolve all issues.
“Despite the terrible intensity of the flood, all problems can be overcome if we stay united,” he said. “There will be no shortage of relief supplies or medicine. However, reaching some areas is challenging, which may delay assistance. This issue will not last long if we work together. The administration can reach everyone with the support of the people.”

The Home Adviser made these remarks during a relief and medicine distribution ceremony at the Noakhali Police Training Center on Monday, August 26, at 12:15 pm.
He also noted, “I am aware that the Muchapur regulator in Companyganj has completely collapsed. We are working to restore it quickly. I urge the public to assist us. With everyone’s efforts, we will achieve positive results.”

Earlier, the Home Adviser arrived in Ghagalnai, Feni, by helicopter, under the supervision of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), at 11:15 a.m., where he distributed relief supplies and medicine.
Shariful Islam, BGB Headquarters Public Relations Officer (PRO), reported that the Home Adviser distributed relief materials to 500 flood-affected families, including 250 families in Feni and 250 families in Noakhali.
Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, Director General of BGB, Home Ministry Senior Secretary Moshiur Rahman, Noakhali Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbubur Rahman, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Asaduzzaman, Army’s 16 Field Artillery Lieutenant Colonel Ashraf Uddin, Civil Surgeon Dr. Masum Iftekhar, and other officials were present at the event.
