Bangladesh National Cricket team won against Hong Kong National Cricket team by seven wickets in their first Group-B match of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates on Thursday night. Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy built a worthy 95-run partnership in the third wicket stand. Litton notched up 39-ball 59 but Towhid Hridoy remained unbeaten with 36-ball 35.
Hridoy’s slow innings was criticised by the critics of cricket specialists.
After the match, the 24-year batter said, ” All players of the world struggle, I am also struggling.”
Hridoy said, ” There are many chance to improve the batting. I am also trying to develop my performance. Yes, I am struggling. More or less all players of the world are struggling. Earlier, I was out in two or three innings scoring 30. I am trying to hit more fours and sixes. If I can do it, it will be well for me.”
Hridoy is optimistic to return to his past rhythm.
He said, ” If I am worried about my off-form, I could not perform well. My target is to play a newer day. I am trying to make a good start. I could not play big innings last couple of days.
I hope I shall play a big innings in the future. No player cannot make a common graph of in his every innings. If I get opportunity in future, I shall present my best.”
Though his slow innings help to lost fewer wickets in the match but the lower middle order batters did not get chance to perform.
” There are lot of batters of big teams could not arrive in the crease as the matches came to an end before they bat. We are taking part such kind of training, when we shall do the appropriate things,” he added.
