AL leader’s son arrested in Joypurhat pornography case

Behesti Rahman Eid (22), son of district Awami League vice-president SM Solaiman Ali, has been arrested in a pornography case in Joypurhat.
Joypurhat Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Faruk Hossain gave this information at 3:30 pm on Thursday (April 17). Earlier, on April 13, a housewife filed a case with Joypurhat Police Station against Behesti Rahman Eid. Then, on Wednesday (April 16), a team of RAB-1 arrested him from the airport area of Dhaka around 4:30 pm. After the arrest, Joypurhat Police Station brought him from Dhaka.
Arrested Behesti Rahman Eid Joypurhat district Awami League vice-president SM Solaiman Ali is the son of arrested. He is a resident of Biswaspara Mohalla in the district town. Behesti Rahman is an active member of the banned organization Chhatra League.
According to police and case sources, Behesti Rahman Eid had a seven-month relationship with a young woman from Sadar Upazila about three years ago. During that time, intimate photos and videos of them were taken. At the same time, Behesti was also in love with another girl. After learning about the matter, the two stopped communicating. The girl got married on January 5. After that, Behesti called the girl and threatened to spread the secret video on social media.
In continuation of this, a few days before Eid-ul-Fitr, he called the girl and asked her to keep in touch regularly and told her to divorce her husband. The girl refused. Then, on the night of April 9, the girl’s private intimate photos and videos were spread on social media. After that, the girl filed a case with the police station.
Joypurhat Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Faruk Hossain said that RAB-1 arrested Behesti Rahman Eid in Dhaka in a pornography case. He was brought to Joypurhat from Dhaka by police on Wednesday night. He was sent to court this afternoon.
