Sohel Rana, the living legend of Bangladeshi cinema. His sister’s daughter is popular model, actress and director Tania Ahmed.
Tania Ahmed’s younger brother is popular TV drama director Amitabh Ahmed Rana.
Director Rana has been producing dramas for several years under the joint direction of his friend Subrata Mitra.
The two of them have jointly produced 27 dramas so far, among which the dramas has received more audience are – ‘Suborno Tithi’, ‘Turu Love’, ‘Bhor Hote Ektu Baki’, ‘Ghunpokar Golpo’, ‘Boyfriend er Sathe Boyfriend Free’, etc.
In the meantime, Rana and Subrata have produced a drama titled ‘Harate Chaina’ on the story of Anamika Mondal with the two popular actors of this generation, Shashwta Datta and Aisha Khan.
Shashwta played the role of Robin in the drama and Aisha played the role of Riya. Shashwta and Aisha have previously acted together in two other dramas including ‘Rokto Lagbe’, ‘Kushboo’, ‘Sei Somoy’, and ‘Ghasforing’.
The natural acting of both of them impressed the audience in every drama. Knowing about the two, Rana and Subrata produced the drama ‘Harate Chaina’ about Shashwta and Aisha in their drama.
However, Aisha and Shashwta first worked together as models in advertisements. They both worked together for the first time in the advertisement of ‘Radhuni’ Halim directed by Nazrul Islam Raju.
While talking about making drama casting Aisha and Shashwta, director Amitabh Ahmed Rana told this correspondent, “Loved working with both of them. Both are very aware of time. Again, the two characters were very lively in their performances. Both of them acted very well in the drama.”
Shashwta shared his feelings by this way, “Rana Bhai and Subrata Dada’s entire unit is well organised. Everything is pretty post-organised. And gives great freedom to the artiste in acting, that’s why the actors are very comfortable to act. Some of my previous dramas with Aisha have gained popularity.
I am hoping for the drama ‘Harate Chaina’ too.”
On the other hand, actress Aisha Khan said, “Shashwta and I both really try to maintain time. The entire team of Rana Bhai and Subrata Dada started work on
time and finished the work on time. I like this topic very much. And a very organised team, which is very rare at this time. I like the work very much.”
Director Amitabh Ahmed Rana informed that drama ‘Harate Chaina’ was edited by Ramzan Ali and M D Nihad was in camera direction. Soon the drama will be aired on a YouTube channel.
