Private carrier Air Astra will resume its Dhaka-Sylhet flights from May 29 to accommodate increased travel demand ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. The airline will operate two daily round-trip flights, departing Dhaka at 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM, with return flights from Sylhet at 8:50 AM and 8:50 PM.
“Sylhet remains a vital destination for us. Operations were paused due to a temporary aircraft shortage, but with fleet stability restored, regular service will recommence,” said Imran Asif, CEO of Air Astra.
Launched on November 24, 2022, Air Astra currently operates multiple daily flights on key domestic routes including Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar, Dhaka-Chattogram, and Dhaka-Saidpur, using a fleet of four French-built ATR 72-600 turboprops known for their reliability and fuel efficiency.
