AIBL arranges school banking conference in Bagerhat

A school banking conference was held in Bagerhat on Saturday under the guidance of the Financial Inclusion Department of Bangladesh Bank and the initiative of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC with the aim of inculcating the tendency of savings among students.
According to a press release, students of 20 institutions participated in the day-long conference held under the leadership of Al-Arafah Islami Bank at Bagerhat District Council Auditorium with the participation of 20 scheduled banks operating in the district,
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Husne Ara Shikha was present at the conference as chief guest with AIB Deputy Managing Director Md. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury in the chair, according to a press release.
Bangladesh Bank Joint Director Muhammad Jahangir Alam, Sonali Bank DGM Sukumar Roy, Janata Bank DGM Md Mofizul Islam, Krishi Bank DGM Devdas Sarkar and Agrani Bank AGM Vipul Mandal were also present at the event.
Among others, Executive Vice President of AIB PLC AKM Amjad Hossain, Senior Vice President Abu Said Md. Abdul Mannaf, Senior Assistant Vice President Sheikh Asadul Haque, managers and senior officers of all scheduled banks of Bagerhat and students of various schools of Bagerhat were also present in the conference.
