The prestigious Agro Processing Global Gateway, featuring an integrated exhibition, seminar, and workshop, officially opened on Friday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka. This high-impact initiative is a signature program under the umbrella of the 8th Agro Bangladesh 2025 International Expo, jointly organized by CEMS-Global and the BYETS Project, which is implemented by Swisscontact and supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by H.E. Mr. Thijs Woudstra, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands, as the Guest of Honor. The event was presided over by Ms. Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS Global USA and Asia Pacific.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Mr. Md. Abul Hashem, President of the Bangladesh Agro-Processors’ Association; Ms. Nuria Lopez, Chairperson of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh; Mr. Mahbub Baset, Chief Operating Officer of Ifad Multi Products Limited; and Ms. Ishrat Fatema, Deputy Country Director of Swisscontact.

The Agro Processing Global Gateway serves as a dynamic platform to showcase innovations, foster dialogue, and encourage investment in the agro-processing sector of Bangladesh. Alongside the main event, two concurrent exhibitions—the 8th Food Bangladesh 2025 International Expo and the 5th Food Pack Bangladesh International Expo—are being held, spotlighting cutting-edge developments in food technology, processing, and packaging.

The event is expected to attract a wide array of industry professionals, government representatives, investors, and international delegates, aiming to strengthen the country’s position in global agro-processing value chains.

The multi-day program continues with a series of seminars and workshops aimed at enhancing skills, promoting sustainable practices, and creating business linkages for a robust agricultural future in Bangladesh.
