Afghanistan to play three ODIs, T20Is against BD

Afghanistan Cricket team will play three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against Bangladesh Cricket team. All the matches will be held at the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Afghanistan Cricket Board released the itinerary of the three-match T20I series and three-match ODI series on Sunday.
Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the first T20I on October 2, The Tigers will face the Afghans in the second T20I on October 3, Bangladesh will meet Afghanistan in the third T20I on October 5.
After completing the T20I series, Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in the first ODI on October 8, Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the second ODI on October 11, the Tigers will meet Afghanistan in the third ODI on October 14.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afghanistan Cricket Board Naseeb Khan said, ” We are highly delighted that we are going to host Bangladesh Cricket team in the much-awaited T20I series and ODI series. This series will be a high profile cricket competition in the neutral venue. I hope the spectators will enjoy keenly contested matches and high profile cricket meets.”
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bangladesh Cricket Board Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said, ” We are eagerly waiting to play against Afghanistan. I hope the white-ball series will be competitive and also thrilling. The series will be valuable competition after the ACC Asia Cup. The series will show respect and strong relation between the two boards. I am thanking Afghanistan Cricket Board as it will arrange the series and it will co-operate BCB for the competition.”
The series will be start after the ACC Asia Cup. The Asia Cup will be held at the different venues across the UAE. The Asia Cup will be held from September 9 to September 28.
A total of four teams splitting into two groups will take part in the Asia Cup.
Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka are in Group-B, while India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman are in Group-A.
