Bangladesh Under-17 Football team beat Sri Lanka Under-17 by five goals to nil in their third Group-A match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup Under-17 Qualifiers at Tongliang Long Stadium in China on Wednesday.
Najmul Huda scored two goals, while Manik, Bayzid and Ikramul Islam netted one goal each.
Earlier, Bangladesh blanked East Timor 5-0 in their first Group-A match on November 22 at the same venue.
The Youngsters of Bangladesh thrashed Brunei Youth team by eight goals to nil in their second Group-A match at the same venue on November 24.
Bangladesh Under-17 Football team will take on Bahrain in their fourth Group-A match at the same venue tomorrow.
The red-and-green out-fit will face hosts China Under-17 Football team in their last Group-A match at the same venue on November 30.
The champions of the Group-A of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers will get the tickets of the final round of AFC Under-17 Asian Cup scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia in May of 2026.
A total of 16 teams will take part in the final round of the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup. A number of nine teams have already confirmed their final round berth. Rest of the seven teams will move to the final round after playing the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup.
