Social Welfare, and Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid exchanged Eid greetings on Wednesday with the parents of Shaheed Shahriar Khan Anas, a 16-year-old boy who was shot dead during the student-led July-August movement, at his house in Gendaria in the capital.
During the visit, the Adviser inquired about the family’s well-being, said a press release from the ministry.
The adviser said that the interim government hasextended a helping hand to those who were martyred and injured during the uprising. “We will honor them like freedom fighters and arrangements will be made to pave their graves,” she said.
The parents of martyr Anas thanked the interim government as well the Adviser for honoring with assistance and support their family.
