As part of a nationwide initiative, the admission test for the 4th batch of the Freelancing Training Programme, implemented by the Department of Youth Development under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was held in Tangail today.
The test took place at Kumudini Government College, Tangail, on Friday morning at 10:00 AM, with a total of 735 candidates appearing for the exam.
The programme is being conducted under the supervision of the renowned IT firm E-Learning and Earning Limited, which is facilitating the training in 48 districts across the country.
During the admission test, the examination center was visited by Fatema Begum, Deputy Director of the District Youth Development Department and President of the Exam Control Committee; Rathindra Nath Chakraborty, Assistant Director and Vice-President of the Committee; and Md. Jewel Rana, District Coordinator of E-Learning and Earning Limited.
The admission process was conducted smoothly by Touhidur Rahman, Assistant District Coordinator; Sangeeta Sarkar, Trainer; Amit Mondal, Digital Marketing Trainer; and Mahbubur Rahman, Trainer for Web Development and Graphic Design, along with other representatives of E-Learning and Earning Limited.
District Coordinator Md. Jewel Rana stated that the admission test was held simultaneously in 48 districts across the country. He expressed satisfaction with the fair and well-organized conduct of the examination in Tangail.
The oral examination for successful candidates is scheduled to take place on September 27. The final results, including written and viva scores, will be sent to selected candidates via SMS.
It is worth noting that the freelancing training programme is part of a national project titled “Employment Creation through Freelancing Training for Educated Unemployed Youth in 48 Districts”, aimed at building skilled manpower and promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship among young men and women. The initiative has been running across 48 districts since 2025.
