The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) have canceled the admission of 169 students, who were admitted to grade-1 of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in 2024.
DSHE took this decision on Wednesday following a High Court report.
Responding to a question, DSHE Director General Prof Nehal Ahmed said Viqarunnisa had decided the age limit in the admission policy as per the instructions of DSHE.
As the school authority violated policy, an instruction has come to the DSHE from the court to take action.
A per the instruction, the admission of 169 students has been cancelled.
Meanwhile, stakeholders eagerly await further clarification from authorities regarding the circumstances leading to the cancellation of these admissions.
