World Music: Adele is now in acting

Adele has taken a break from singing for the time being. She announced her break after finishing her ‘Weekends with Adele’ tour in 2024.

She said that she is taking this break to give more time to her personal life and to test herself in other creative endeavors.

The singer also said that she has no plans to return to singing anytime soon. New news has come from Adele during this apparent break.

She is starting acting. She will make her film debut with ‘Cry to Heaven’.
Fashion designer and producer Tom Ford will make the film based on Anne Rice’s 1982 novel ‘Cry to Heaven’.

The setting is an 18th-century Italian town. The story is about music.

It is a story of two people from different social backgrounds who find their place in the world of opera. It is not yet known which role Adele will play in it.

Apart from Adele, ‘Cry to Heaven’ also stars Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ciarán Hinds, Thandie Newton, Colin Firth, George MacKay, Wayne Cooper, and others.

‘Cry to Heaven’ is Tom Ford’s third film after ‘A Single Man’ and ‘Nocturnal Animal’.

It is currently in the pre-production stage. Shooting will begin in London and Rome from January. The film is scheduled to be released in late 2026.
