Adamdighi (Bogra) Correspondent :

Due to long-term non-renovation, the Sialshan-Jinair road in Adamdighi Upazila Sadar of Bogra has become in a bad condition. Due to the formation of potholes due to the removal of carpeting, bricks and holes, it has become unfit for vehicle movement, and accidents are constantly occurring.
Pedestrians, passengers and drivers have to suffer extreme hardship while traveling on this nearly one-kilometer road filled with potholes. Numerous small and large vehicles, including auto-rickshaws, are falling into the large holes in the middle of the road and overturning. But since there is no alternative road, thousands of people are traveling every day at risk. In addition, the transportation of agricultural products and other goods is being disrupted. The locals demanded that the road be renovated to alleviate the long-standing suffering of the locals.
In addition, marginal farmers of the upazila transport agricultural products and other goods through this road. People from about 10/15 villages of the upazila, including Sialshan, Jinair, Komarpur, Kasimalkuri, Baradighi, Mangalpur, and Raykali Bazar, travel on this road.
It has been seen on the spot that due to long-term non-repair, the carpeting of the road has come off and large potholes have been created. Due to the poor condition of the road, passengers have to travel on the road with the fear of accidents.
Many times, passengers fall from auto-rickshaws and get injured. Vehicles have to avoid small and large potholes by twisting and turning. The condition of the road is especially terrible from Sialshan to Jinair village. Locals said that the road is in a poor condition because this road has not been repaired for a long time. Due to the formation of potholes and potholes, vehicles have to travel on this road with great risk. Locals complain that the road is in a bad condition due to the construction of buildings on both sides of the Sialshan-Zinair road, which has prevented water from flowing, and the illegal green chilli market in Komarpur market this year, which has resulted in the constant loading of large trucks.
Autorickshaw driver Moazzim of Zinair village said that various vehicles including autorickshaws and CNG ply on this road. Since the road has not been renovated, all types of vehicles have to ply at risk. The locals have demanded that this road be renovated quickly considering it important to the people.
In this regard, Adamdighi Upazila Engineer Ripon Kumar Saha said that the current condition of this road in Sialshan-Zinair village of the upazila headquarters is very bad. However, he said that the road will be renovated within November-December of the current financial year.
