Entertainment Report :
Popular actress and model of
present generation Rukaiya Jahan Chamak has been accused of misbehaving with co-stars and staff of the shooting unit. This incident took place last Friday at Anandabari shooting house in Uttara of the capital.
It is known that the actress Chamak came an hour late to the shooting
set of the drama ‘Shwashurbarite Prothom Din’. Entering the set, she got angry ‘for no reason’. Even she showed her mood in the make-up room. Then the shooting started.
After the first scene, the production boy told the actress, “Apa, Wow, the shot becomes so beautiful.” That’s why Chamak became anger and got burnt in oil. After seeing the behaviour of Chamak, director of the drama, Adib Hasan said, “The way you are reacting, nothing like that happened here. Why are you bullying them?”
The actress was surprised to hear this and became even more angry
and made it clear that she would not shoot. The director tried to make her normal but to no avail. During that time noted actor Masum
Bashar was also with the director.
At one stage of the incident, Chamak informed the police. The police came and spoke with the actor Masum Bashar. But the actress did not accept the matter. As a result, she had an argument with actor Masum Bashar. When the police came in the second phase, she complained with tears in her eyes. Many of the set including Masum Basar threatened to kill her. As the situation begins to get more complicated Naznin Hasan Chumki, Joint General Secretary of the Actor’s Equity BD, was present there. Chumki tried to calm the
situation by talking to everyone.
In the meantime, the shooting of the drama has stopped. In this regard, director Adib Hasan told media,
“I have complained to the Director’s Guild about this untoward incident. The matter is incidentally pending. Now they will decide on this matter.”
General Secretary of the Director’s Guild Kamruzzaman Sagor told this correspondent, “A written complaint has come to us in this incident. The issue will be resolved by discussing with the Director’s Guild and Actors’ Equity.” Actress Chamak was contacted on the phone to ask her opinion on the matter, but she did not receive the call.
