Entertainment Report :
Noted film actress Anjana Rahman has been undergoing treatment for the past six days due to a fever and blood infection. She has been hospitalised and is being treated at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), confirmed Nishat Moni, son of the actress yesterday.
Nishat Moni explained that his mother fell ill with a fever at the start of the month. When the fever persisted, she was hospitalised on December 22. Subsequent tests revealed a blood infection, but her condition remains unchanged.
He added that whether she is getting better or worse is still uncertain.
Following additional tests, the doctors revealed that her haemoglobin levels had dropped significantly, necessitating an extended hospital stay to fully
assess her condition.
Anjana’s son added that his mother preferred to keep her illness private, believing she would recover soon. She didn’t want to cause unnecessary
worry by disclosing her condition.
However, Moni acknowledged that it’s difficult to hide the illness of a renowned artiste for such a long time so they gradually began sharing the news.
Actress Anjana has a son and a daughter, both of whom are by her side.
Anjana Rahman was a leading actress in Dhallywood during her prime. She began her career as a dancer before moving into acting, eventually becoming known for her extensive work in joint productions and foreign films.
