General (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home and Agriculture Adviser to the Interim Government, has warned that action will be taken against wilful mistakes made by officials.
He made this statement during an exchange meeting with officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, held in the conference room of the Secretariat on Sunday, 18 August.
The information was shared in a press release from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Adviser Md Alam urged the officials to work professionally and
in accordance with the law.
“Mistakes can happen while working, but action will be taken if wilful mistakes are made,” he said, emphasising the need for everyone to collaborate sincerely during this period.
He also noted that officials who have been unfairly deprived would be given due consideration, but added, “If anyone has been deprived due to corruption, it will not be taken into consideration.”
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Moshiur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Security and Services Department, Mohammad Abdul Monem, newly appointed Secretary of the Public Security Department, recently retired Senior Secretary Mokabbir Hossain, and Inspector General of Police Moinul Islam.
