A Dhaka court on Sunday placed Mozaffar Uddin Mahsin, 40, an accused in the case filed in connection with the murder of Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi on a two-day remand.
Magistrate Tareq Moinul Islam Bhuiyan of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after the Detective Branch (DB) of police produced the accused to his court in the morning seeking a seven-day remand to quiz the accused about the murder of Faruqi, an Islamic programme anchor of Channel I.
