The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against 17 people including former Vice-Chancellor of Khulna Agricultural University, Professor Dr. Md. Shahidur Rahman Khan, on charges of unlimited corruption and nepotism in the appointment of registrars, officials and employees.
Sumitra Sen, Deputy Director of the ACC’s Khulna Integrated District Office, filed the case as the plaintiff on Sunday.
The other accused in the case are – former Registrar of Khulna Agricultural University Khandaker Mazharul Anwar, appointed branch officer of the university Md. Jasim Uddin, accounting officer Murad Billah, office assistant cum computer typist Anisur Rahman Rintu, administrative officer Sultan Mahmud, administrative worker Khairul Basar Riaz, computer operator Md. Masud Rana, computer operator Shahreen Islam Meem, lab technician Reena Khatun, office assistant cum computer typist ABM Ariful Islam Turan, office assistant cum computer typist Md. Shahidul Islam, lab attendant Md. Asif Ahmed, lab attendant Didarul Alam, lab attendant Md. Habibur Rahman, office assistant Md. Wahiduzzaman and Acia Khatun.
