The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has lodged a case against Radwan Mujib Siddique Boby, son of Sheikh Rehana, on the allegation of acquiring illegal wealth worth about Tk2.89 crore and a suspicious transaction of Tk12 crore.
ACC Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah Al Mamun yesterday (27 July) lodged the case against Boby, said ACC Director General (Prevention) AkhterHossain at a press briefing at the commission headquarters today (28 July).
According to the allegation, Boby acquired moveable and immoveable assets worth over Tk2.89 crore beyond his known income source. He also made a suspicious transaction of over Tk12.48 crore in his bank accounts. The anti graft body found that he had no legal business in the country but showed Tk 4,85,26,000 in his income tax return, whereas his legal family income was only Tk1.66 crore.
He also laundered the money by depositing, withdrawing and converting through various accounts.

Said it is a good sign that the ACC is filing cases against the corrupt where the identity doesn’t matter. It also probe that no will get remedy after indulge into corruption and misusage of power.
DrBadiulAlamMajumdaralso the head of the Electoral Reform Commission said when people ascended in power, he forgot that in future he may face the trial and use power to do illegal things.
He said, ACC’s duty to filed cases, after proper investigation court will decide their (accused) fate. If they convicted they will face music. There will be no consideration about his social and political status and background, only thing is they are corrupt people and misusage the power.
Earlier on January 14, the ACC filed three separate cases against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, Rehana’s son RadwanMujibSiddiq Bobby, and her daughters AzminaSiddiqRuponti, and Tulip RizwanaSiddiq, also a British lawmaker accusing abuse of power to influence high-ranking officials at the RajdhaniUnnayanKartripakkha (Rajuk) to secure plots in the diplomatic zone of Sector 27, Road 203, in the Purbachal New Town Project. The allocation includes three 10-katha plots.
Rehana, Bobby, and Azmina have been named as the prime accused in the cases, while Hasina and Tulip are listed as co-accused.
Each case names an additional 12 to 13 individuals, including officials from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works and Rajuk.
In the case against Bobby, the accused include Hasina, Tulip, and 16 others. In the case against Azmina, the accused include Tulip, Hasina, and 16 others.
