The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sent two letters to the Police Headquarters urging coordinated steps with the government to obtain Interpol Red Notices against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her son Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed Joy.
Officials investigating the Purbachal plot scam cases against Hasina and Joy submitted the letters, with supporting documents, to Police Headquarters today (4 September), a senior ACC official told The Business Standard.
Interpol issues Red Notices to locate and provisionally arrest individuals pending extradition or similar action, in response to international requests for cooperation.
