The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday sent letter to the Liberation War Affairs Ministry asking for Liberation War related documents of the Commission’s nine officials by 18th December.
The nine officers are: ACC Director General (Legal and Prosecution) Kamrul Hasan Mollah, Director Golam Yahiya, Director Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan, Deputy Director Dhali Abdus Samad, Deputy Director SM Golam Siddique, former Deputy Director Ranjan Kumar, Assistant Inspector Abdus Sobhan, Court Assistants and Assistant Sub-Inspectors Nurul Islam and Ishaque Fakir. It is the 5th time that the Commission requested the Ministry for documents. Earlier an ACC team comprising Deputy Director Zulfiqar Ali and Assistant Director Rafiqul Islam met the Ministry’s Secretary AM Hannan, Additional Secretary, Joint-Secretary and Senior Secretary on December 5 in this respect. The documents are necessary to start investigation into a complaint that they were not freedom fighters.
