Abidul Islam Khan, the vice president (VP) candidate on the Jatiyatabdi Chhatra Dal-backed slate, rejected the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election results, alleging deliberate rigging.
He made the remarks around 2:30 am on Wednesday (September 9), at a time when results from several polling centers were still being reported. “I had anticipated this orchestrated rigging since noon. The figures have been manipulated at will. I reject this staged farce,” Khan said.
