Abahani take on Baridhara in Fed Cup quarterfinal today

The football fans are eagerly waiting to enjoy another exciting quarterfinal when star-studded Abahani Limited, Dhaka, will take on Uttar Baridhara Club in the Federation Cup Football’s fourth and last quarterfinal match scheduled to be held today at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Private satellite sports channel T Sports telecasts the match live that kicks off at 4 pm.
The group D champions sky blue Dhanmoni outfit Abahani Limited already proved their supremacy by maintaining their all-win run in the group phase matches.
The eleven time Federation Cup champions Abahani Limited made a flying start in the tournament beating their arch-rival Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited by 3-0 goals in the group stage opening match and confirmed their spot of quarterfinal as group champions eliminating Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 2-1 goals in their second and last group match.
On the other hand, Baridhara must be looking forward to go to the last four stage after inspired from their boosting performance in the group phase matches as well. Though their start in the tournament was not well losing the opening match group B champions Saif Sporting Club by 0-3 goals, but they fought back strongly by winning the remaining group matches.
Baridhara registered a 3-2 goal victory over Arambagh Krira Sangha in their group second match and ensured their last eight stage as group runners-up with a 3-0 goal drubbing over all orange Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union Club.
Meanwhile, Chattogram Abahani Limited, Saif Sporting Club and Bashundhara Kings already confirmed their spot of semifinal.
The post city team Chattogram Abahani defeated Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 2-0 goals in the first quarterfinal while Saif Sporting Club beat ten times Federation Cup champions Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited by 7-6 goals in sudden death shootout in the pulsating second quarterfinal match. Bashundhara Kings beat Shaikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited by two goals to nil in the third quarter-final.
