Dhaka Abahani Limited will take on Muras United Football Club (FC) of Kyrgyzstan in their play-off match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League at National Stadium in the capital today. The match will kick-off at 5:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the game live at the match-venue.
Marking the upcoming football match, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Monday. Captain of Dhaka Abahani Limited Asaduzzaman Bablu, Head Coach of Dhaka Abahani Limited Maruful Haque, Captain of Muras United Amir Zhaparov, Head Coach of Muras United Puchkov Sergiy spoke at the conference in front of a good number of journalists.
Asaduzzaman Bablu said, ” We have a good preparation. We are optimistic that we shall achieve a good result. If we can play according to the planning of our head coach, we can beat them. I don’t feel any pressure. It is my duty. We advance as per prescription of our coach and he has motivated us. We have cent percent confidence. We shall prove our capability in front of our spectators.”
Maruful Haque said, ” We practiced 26 days. Souleymane Diabate joined Sunday last. We shall try to execute our plan. Our opponent team are tough side. If my boys can implement my plan, I hope they can cut a brilliant figure. Our side have become stronger as Al Amin, Morsalin and Kajem Shah joined our outfit. Our opponent will follow the European style, so it will be a tough task to face them. Earlier, Diabate played our opponent teams. So, he is known to me. If he can give his fifty percent in tomorrow’s match, I will be very glad.”
He said, ” The players of our opponent team have advanced technically and tactically. We shall try to beat them mentally and it is my policy.”
Captain of Muras United Amir Zhaparov said, ” We have taken a good preparation. We shall try to present our best. I am optimistic that we shall win tomorrow.
Head Coach of Muras United Puchkov Sergiy said, ” My boys will give their best effort to win the match. We are new team but we shall try to keep our heritage of our country’s football. I have coached this team for one year.
We clinched the title of the domestic competition of Kyrgyzstan. So, we get chance to take part in the play-off match. It is a good chance for us to present our football in Asian level. There is no conflict among my booters. They are very friendly.
I hope it will help us to win the match. I know Abahani are good side. They became champions in their domestic competitions lot of times. Our players are also experienced. They will present their best brand of football tomorrow.”
