AB Party for nat’l unity of the student-people uprising

Amar Bangladesh Party-(AB Party) on Saturday urged the writers and journalists to play an important creative role for national unity and implementing the aim of the recent Anti-discrimination Student Movement in the country.

Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) Member Secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju made this call in a view-exchange meeting at party’s central office in city’s Bijoynagar, reports BSS.

Journalist Abdur Rahman Mallik conducted the exchange of views while noted writer cum journalist Syed Tosharraf Ali, journalist leader and poet Abdul Hye Sikdar, former president of JASAS Rezabuddaula Chowdhury, eminent journalist leader and former president of BFUJ M. Abdullah, prominent journalist and researcher poet Shamima Chowdhury, journalist leader Jahangir Alam Pradhan, senior journalist and researcher Ahmed Matiur Rahman, poet and writer Fazlul Haque Khan, executive member of the Jatiya Press Club Shahnaz Poli, senior journalist Nasreen Geeti also spoke at the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, veteran writer Syed Tosharraf Ali thanked the incumbent government for forming six commissions for reforming key sectors and pointed out that at present, the pressing issue of the state is corruption.

‘The present government will have to take stern action against graft’, he added.
Poet Abdul Hye Sikder said though Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was leader of struggle but he was a symbol of great fascist. ” “Our basic demand is to make a new constitution for fulfilling the expectation of the countrymen that resulted from the student -people uprising ,” he said.

AB Party Member Secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju said the writers and journalists are mirrors of the country and its people. He said now the journalists, writers and litterateurs are fleeing the country for their allegiance to the fascist government which is unexpected.

“Let us all to play a pivotal role to strengthen the national unity and fulfill the objective of the revolution.
