Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh (AAAB) organises a workshop titled ‘The VAT and Tax Playbook: Financial Management for Agencies’ was successfully held at the Mehfil Hall of Banani Club in the capital on Tuesday.
With the aim of raising awareness and resolving complexities regarding financial management and taxation in the advertising industry of Bangladesh the workshop saw participation from executives of the finance and accounts departments of over 50 renowned advertising agencies through registration, says a press release.
The workshop commenced with a speech by Syed Ahsanul Apon, General Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh (AAAB). In his speech, hesitated,” Founded in 1978, AAAB is a key organization representing the advertising sector. It plays a crucial role in connecting various businesses with their target customers, enhancing brand awareness, and driving sales growth. By2025, the annual market value of Bangladesh’s advertising sector is expected to reach approximately BDT 12,028 crore, directly and indirectly employing over 7.5 million people, of whom nearly 82% are young professionals. However, despite its significant contribution to the national economy, the advertising sector remains largely unstructured and faces multiple challenges.
