Tamil director C Prem Kumar is preparing for a sequel. His first film ’96’ created a huge stir in 2018. After seven years, Prem Kumar is preparing to make the second part of the film.
In the meantime, the work of writing the script has been completed. However, his only condition for making the second part of ’96’ is that he will only do the film if he gets the actors of the original film, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha.
The movie ‘96’ was about a travel photographer named Ram. After many years, his school friends organise a reunion. There, Ram meets Janu. Ram loved Janu during his school days. Although their love did not come to fruition, Ram could never forget Janu. The story of their school life and their separation emerges from their conversations.
The audience was captivated and enjoyed the movie ‘96’ due to Ram and Janu’s simple love, realistic visuals, memorable feelings, and strong attraction to each other even after many years. Producer Prem Kumar said that the script for the second part is written 10 years after the story of ‘96’ ended. The audience has been demanding a sequel to this movie for a long time.
Director Prem Kumar has spent a lot of time thinking about what the story will be in the second part. His confidence has increased after finishing writing the script. The producer said that the story of the second part is better than the first. He even feels that it is his best writing.
He has told his team, everyone is happy. The producer was so happy after hearing the script, that he gave the producer a gold chain as a gift, which is worth about 7 lakh rupees. The producer has never received such a good script before!
Still, doubts about the production of the second part have not gone away. Because, the green signal has not come from Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha yet. Only if they agree, Prem Kumar will make the sequel, or else he will try his hand at a different project.
