Renowned music composer A R Rahman was briefly hospitalised on Sunday morning due to dehydration and gastric issues, his family confirmed.
The 58-year-old Oscar and Grammy winner was admitted to a corporate hospital in Chennai, but has since returned home and is doing well.
His manager, Senthil Velan, said, “He is perfectly fine. Doctors conducted tests and everything was normal.”
A R Rahman had also complained of minor neck pain initially. His sister, AR Reihana, dismissed rumours of chest pain, clarifying the issue was dehydration.
Rahman’s son, AR Ameen, reassured fans on Instagram, saying, “My father felt a bit weak… but he is doing well now. Thank you for your love and prayers.”
Known for hits like ‘Roja’ and ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Rahman is currently working on ‘Lahore 1947’, ‘Thug Life’, and ‘Tere Ishk Mein.’
