Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) has inked deal on August 3 with the Muntajat of Qatar for import of 4lakh ton urea fertilizer.
A 6-member delegation headed by Industry Secretary Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan now visiting Qatar and a govt to govt agreement was signed to this effect.
Under the agreement, import of 2 (two) lacs MT Granular urea and another 2 (two) lacs MT of prilled urea from Muntajat, Qatar will be imported.
Mohammad Iqbal on behalf of Chairman BCIC and chief of executive of Muntajat Abdul Rahman Ali AI-Abdullah signed the deal.
Bangladesh High Commissioner in Qatar was present on the occasion.
