Father, son killed in Sylhet road crash

An elderly man and his son were killed as a pick-up van collided with a truck on Sylhet-Jokiganj road in Golapganj upazila on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Ekhlas Uddin, 70, and his son Altaf Uddin, 35 of Borolekha upazila of Moulvibazar district.
Officer-in-charge of Golapganj Police Station AKM Fazlul Haque Shibli said the truck collided with the pick-up van in Fulbari area of the upazila around 8am, leaving pick-up van passenger Altaf dead on the spot and his father Ekhlas critically injured.
