Results of 65 SSC examinees change after re-scrutiny in BB

Results of 65 examinees of Secondary School Certificate(SSC) examination 2015 under Barisal Education Board(BEB) have been changed after re- scrutiny.
Muhammed Shah Alamgir, Controller of examinations, Braisal Education Board(BEB) said the re-scrutiny results have been published on Saturday and already sent to candidates through SMS and concerned schools by documents.
It also available from the website of the BEB after the central computer section of inter-board authority placed that at the main website of www. education board. gov. bd, the BEB official informed.
BEB controller of examinations said this year board authority directly supervised the re-scrutiny after SSC-2015 results published on May 30.
Then 5,288 applied for re-scrutiny of 11,598 papers within June 6 by giving re-scrutiny fee as Tk-125 per paper.
Due to that effort results of 65 have been changed, the BEB official said.
Out of the changed results of 65 candidates,10 failed examinees declared as passed, results of 11 upgraded to GPA-5 and grades of rest 44 candidates also been changed and improved, he informed.
Controller of examination of BEB said board authority also ordered to take actions against the responsible examiners and head examiners for their negligence in scrutiny the examination papers.
The increasing of more 11 GPA-5 holders after re-scrutiny, the number of GPA-5 holder examinees in SSC-2015 of BEB now increased from 3,171 to 3,182, he said.
Results of Secondary School Certificate examination of 2015 under Barisal Education Board declared on May 30 as deteriorated than previous year blaming political unrest and creative question system.
This year the percentage of pass in SSC under this board was 84.37 percent as 59,446 examinees out of 70,456 appeared passed and 11,010 (15.63 percent) failed.
The percentages of pass were 90.66 in 2014, 88.63 in 2013, 86.67 percent in 2012, 83.40 in 2011 and 74.64 percent in 2010.
Prof. Ziaul Huq, chairman BEB, said political unrest caused problems in preparation of examinees and creative form of question caused bad results especially in Mathematics.
This year 88.46 percent students passed in mathematics which means 11.54 percent examinees failed in this subject this year, the BEB chairman told blaming introducing creative system of question in mathematics.
