BFF to organise Futsal Leagues for women & men
Recently, despite participating in several international Futsal competitions, there is no domestic tournament.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team also became champions in the debut season of SAFF Futsal Championship.
In this situation, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF)’s Futsal Committee has issued a notification to organise both women’s and men’s Futsal competitions.
In 2008, BFF organised a Futsal tournament with the participation of Premier Football League clubs. Brothers Union became the champions in that tournament.
After that, this game has not been played on the field for the last 16 years.
Therefore, a call has been made to organise this tournament anew. If there is a prominent person or organisation in the name of the club or team, the approval of the Board of Trustees or the appropriate authority will be required.
BFF wants to organise Futsal Leagues for both women and men. For this, it has been made mandatory for clubs interested in forming teams to form two teams.
The clubs will have to promise to play in the women’s and men’s Futsal Leagues for the next two seasons.
In addition, interested clubs in playing the leagues will have to give a pay order of Taka five lakh to BFF.
The clubs will get this guarantee money back subject to the fulfillment of the league rules and conditions.
The Futsal Committee has set the date for starting the league from May 2. No team have officially applied yet.
If interested clubs or teams apply, the BFF’s Club Licensing Committee will review it and make a decision.
