PM donates Tk 41 lakh to SCC sanitation workers
On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman have donated Tk 41 lakh 35 thousand to the sanitation workers of Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) engaged in waste management.
On Sunday (March 15, 2026) at 3 pm, Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) Full-time Administrator Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury received a check of Tk 41 lakh 35 thousand from the Prime Minister at a ceremony organized at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Jatiya Sangsad.
At this time, thanking the Prime Minister for helping the SCC workers celebrate Eid, Abdul Qaiyum Chowdhury said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is a humanitarian leader who is working tirelessly for the welfare of the people of the country.
He always deeply understands the happiness and sorrows of the common people and stands by them.
The SCC Administrator also said that the Prime Minister is also very sincere about the welfare and development of the people of Sylhet.
He has been providing encouragement and necessary support at various times to develop Sylhet as a modern and developed city.
This donation to the sanitation workers to celebrate Eid is another example of his humanity.
Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam and Secretary of the Local Government Department Md. Shahidul Hasan were present during the handover of the donation check.
