Aminul appointed Dhaka WASA MD

Former Secretary Md. Aminul Islam has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka WASA on a contractual basis.

The information was announced on Tuesday (March 10) in a notification signed by Md. Golam Rabbani, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration’s Contracts and Foreign Appointment Division.

Earlier, following allegations of money laundering and purchasing assets abroad, Dhaka WASA’s MD Abdus Salam resigned on March 8.

The next day, Monday, the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Muha. Moniruzzaman, was given the additional responsibility of acting as Dhaka WASA’s MD.
The very next day, Aminul Islam was appointed to the post.
