Eid drama ‘Je Badhon Jai Na Chhera’

Rongon Music has created a special drama titled ‘Je Badhon Jai Na Chhera’ for the upcoming Eid.

The drama is written by Shafiqur Rahman Shantanu, directed by Amitabh Ahmed Rana and Subrata Mitra.

Abul Hayat, Irfan Sajjad, Sunerah Binte Kamal, SM Ashraful Alam Sohag, Reshma Ahmed, Azam Khan, Iftekhar Palash, Azizul Islam, Rajib Natraj, Sujan Bhowmik and child artiste Ibrahim have played various roles in the drama.

The drama was shot in Uttara, Mirpur and Agargaon in Dhaka from March 3 to 5.

The drama is written about the tension between relationships in the city’s civic life.

Mr Hayat, who is over 60, has worked in the district all his life.

He sold his land and sent his only son Zafar to Dhaka for education.

Zafar is now married and settled in Dhaka. On the other hand, Mr Hayat’s wife has died. He himself has fallen ill.

He comes to Dhaka for treatment at his only son Zafar’s house. Zafar’s wife Tumpa works. Both of them are very happy to have their father.

But gradually, various kinds of bitterness start to grow in busyness of the city and reality of life.

The harsh reality wants to stand as a wall between the relationship between father and son.

Regarding talking about the drama, director Subrata Mitra said, “It is a family drama, which is about the relationship between a father and his son.

Their aspirations are great but their means are limited.

The son wants to give his whole life for his father, but reality makes him stand in front of a different wall.”

The drama was filmed by Sumon Hossain, edited by Ramzan Ali.

The background music was composed by Prottoy Khan. The production was done by Md Jamal Hossain.

The drama will be released on the Rongon Entertainment’s YouTube channel on Eid.
