President to address Parliament: Home Minister

 

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said that President Mohammed Shahabuddin will address the National Parliament. He said that the speech will cover all matters related to the July Charter.

The Parliamentary Session is scheduled to begin at 11:00am tomorrow, during which the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected. The President will administer their oath-taking ceremony.

Salahuddin Ahmed, also BNP Standing Committee Member, made the remarks on Tuesday after leaving the parliament premises.

Earlier, the BNP parliamentary party held a meeting of the ruling party in the 13th National Parliament.

The meeting took place in the government party hall at the National Parliament House and was presided over by the Parliament Leader and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming session of parliament, set to start on Thursday, March 12.
