Apu on industry rivalries : There will always be sides

Recently, Dhallywood queen Apu Biswas caught attention at the launch of a clothing brand. At the event, she spoke candidly about her clothing preferences, career, and personal life.

Regarding her outfit choices, Apu Biswas said she always prefers light-colored clothing.

Although she was often seen wearing red sarees during the filming of Lal Sari, light colors remain her personal favorite.

Responding to discussions and criticisms on social media about her parlor business, she clarified that, as an owner, she neither gives facial treatments herself nor directly serves customers.

However, she keeps full knowledge of how many clients receive facials at her establishment.

Apu Biswas stated, “I certainly don’t give facials at my parlor, nor do I let anyone do it for me.

But I know how many facials have been done. Yet, many uneducated people respond as if they know.

So I want to say that I am not visible on social media that way, and I have always said this, and I still do.”

She also spoke about the bitterness in the industry. “When I entered the industry in 2007-2008, you saw films with a full face.

And that’s how fans came to know me. Later, around 2016, so much filth started-an industry turned into a dustbin.

There will always be sides. Is there no Bollywood? No Hollywood? Tollywood is right next door, where everyone works together. But here (Dhallywood), it’s nothing but a dustbin.”
