SHUJAN leader found dead in Gazipur

The body of a local leader of Shushashoner Jonno Nagorik (SHUJAN) was recovered with his hands and legs tied in Gazipur early on Thursday.

The victim, Kamruzzaman Molla, 65, was vice president of SHUJAN’s Gazipur district unit and a contractor by profession.

Confirming the matter, Gazipur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Aminul Islam said, police recovered the body around 12:30 am from a sandy field in the Purba Dhirashram area of Gazipur city. OC said criminals killed him sometime before 11 pm on Wednesday (4 March) and left the body beside a road in the Dhirashram area.
The body was wrapped in clothes, and his hands and legs were tied.

Kamruzzaman was a resident of the Gazipura area under Ward No. 50 of the city.
Family members said he left home on Wednesday morning to go to the Gazipur court in connection with a case.
The court proceedings did not take place as the scheduled judge was absent.
