Hanif Sanket to get Independence Award

The government has decided to award the ‘Independence Award 2026’ to AKM Hanif (Hanif Sanket), the host of the popular magazine programme ‘Ityadi’ in recognition of his outstanding and glorious contribution to the country’s art and culture.

This important decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani officially confirmed this information in the afternoon after the meeting.
