Chinese co to establish beauty products plant at BEPZA EZ

Chinese company Adeline Beauty Technology (Bangladesh) Co., Ltd. is set to establish a fashion and beauty products manufacturing facility at the BEPZA Economic Zone, marking another step forward in Bangladesh’s diversified export growth.
In this regard, the company signed a land lease agreement with Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) on Wednesday at the BEPZA Complex in the city.
The company will invest US$ 22 million to set up the factory, which is expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 4,170 Bangladeshi nationals, contributing significantly to job creation and export diversification.
The company will manufacture a wide range of fashion hair and beauty products, including wigs, eyelashes and cosmetic nails, mainly for export. Its target markets include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Mexico and other international destinations.
The initiative is expected to enhance Bangladesh’s presence in the rapidly growing global beauty and personal care market.
Md. Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, signed the agreement on behalf of BEPZA, while Hang Sun, Managing Director, signed on behalf of Adeline Beauty Technology (Bangladesh) Co., Ltd. Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain witnessed the signing ceremony.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman thanked the company for choosing the BEPZA Economic Zone as its investment destination and reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to ensuring a secure, compliant and investor-friendly environment. He also called for increased Chinese investment in diversified and value-added sectors.
Among others, Abdullah Al Mamun, Member (Engineering); A N M Foyzul Haque, Member (Finance); Samir Biswas, Executive Director (Administration); Md. Khorshid Alam, Executive Director (Enterprise Services); A.S.M. Anwar Parvez, Executive Director (Public Relations); senior officials of BEPZA and representatives of the company were present at the ceremony.
