PCB announces Pakistan Cricket team for BD ODI series

A big surprise in Pakistan cricket. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday the Pakistan Cricket team for the ODI series against Bangladesh with a major reshuffle. As usual, Shaheen Shah Afridi is the captain of the team. Although Mohammad Rizwan is in the team, star batter Babar Azam did not get chance. Saim Ayub is also absent.

In the 15-member squad, 6 cricketers are waiting for their ODI debut. They are, Sahibzada Farhan, Abdul Samad, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Ghazi Ghori, Saad Masood, Shamyl Hussain.

Among them, Farhan was in top form in the last T20 World Cup. With 383 runs, he set the record for the highest runs not only in this World Cup but also in any edition of the T20 World Cup. In addition, he became the first batter to score two centuries in the same edition.

Among the rest, Abdul Samad, Maaz Sadaqat, Saad Masood and Shamyl Hussain were in the Pakistan Shaheens squad. The Pakistan Cricket team will land in Dhaka on March 8.

The three matches of the Bangladesh-Pakistan ODI series will be played on March 11, 13 and 15. All the matches will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur.
