Tanjin Tisha in action thriller Golapi

After earning audience praise in romantic, family-oriented, and emotional stories, Tanjin Tisha is now set to appear in a completely new avatar.

A female-centric action thriller drama titled ‘Golapi’ is scheduled for release this Eid, where the actress will be seen in a fierce and mysterious role.

Viewers have seen many stories of love and heartbreak. However, this time the story goes beyond the familiar narrative.

Female-led gangster genre stories are rarely produced in Bangladeshi TV dramas.

From that standpoint, Golapi has already drawn attention. As the name suggests, the central character is ‘Golapi’, portrayed by Tanjin Tisha.

In the drama, she will be seen in two completely different personas, adding extra suspense and surprise to the storyline. Tawsif Mahbub plays an important role in the drama.

The screenplay is written by Mezbah Uddin Sumon and directed by Rubel Hasan.

Produced under the banner of CMV, the drama is currently in the final stages of editing. It is expected to be released during the Eid festival.

Director Rubel Hasan said, “The character of ‘Golapi’ is a big challenge for any actress. Tanjin Tisha has successfully met that challenge and made the character believable.”

According to the director, the drama realistically portrays slum life, pickpocket gangs, internal politics among gangsters, and police operations.

It includes action, thrill, mystery, and subtle romance. Altogether, it is set to become one of the most talked-about dramas of the upcoming Eid.

Producer SK Shahed Ali Pappu stated that ‘Golapi’ has been made with a cinematic atmosphere to give viewers a big-screen experience. The drama will be released on CMV’s YouTube channel during Eid.
