TCB truck sales spark chaos over low-cost goods

Although Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started selling products in Truck for the relief of the low-income people in Kishoreganj this programme is being carried out in various sufferings and chaos.

Since the goods are sold at low prices, many people come to buy the goods more than once. Many people sell these goods outside. This measure has been taken to prevent that, according to the concerned sources.

At least 37 dealers in Kishoreganj municipal area. Each dealer is allotted 400 people, five days a week except Friday and Saturday, for a total of 2,000 people. The number of buyers is much more than the products. As a result, the buyers have demanded an increase in the allocation.

On Monday afternoon, Ekrampur CNG-powered autorickshaw stand area in the town , Dealer Masud Rana Jewel selling products in an open area in a truck. The scheduled time for distribution was 4 pm.

However, a large number of men and women had been standing in line for at least four hours in advance. Many women had to wait for hours with their children in their arms to get the products.

Sadar Upazila Family Planning Officer Jobayer Hossain Saki was supervising the sale of products here as a tag officer. He said that according to the administration’s decision, this time the products are being given with indelible ink on the fingers of every buyer”
