Urgent aid needed for Journalist Salam

National Desk :

The local journalism community is rallying for support as veteran reporter Salam Chowdhury fights for his life, bedridden and denied essential medical treatment due to crippling financial hardship.

A resident of Habiganj city’s Court Station area and district correspondent for the New Nation newspaper, Chowdhury has endured immense hardship after having one leg amputated from the knee down due to complications.

He has long suffered from diabetes and the disease took a devastating turn when complications forced the amputation of one leg from the knee down, plunging his daily existence into unbearable suffering.

Now unable to work or afford care, he lies helpless at home, his condition deteriorating rapidly without intervention.

The cost of surgery, medications, and ongoing therapy remains out of reach for his family. Public donations are desperately needed to cover these expenses and restore hope.

Public support is urgently needed to provide critical medical care and save his life.
Those wishing to help can reach out in the The New Nation office, Dhaka.
