Anika struggles to adapt to Sydney heat
Sports Reporter :
The Bangladesh Women’s Football team arrived in Sydney on Thursday night to play in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
On Sunday, the Bangladesh team practiced for the second day at Valentine’s Park in Sydney.
Swedish expatriate footballer Anika Rania is part of the Bangladesh team in the AFC Women’s Asia Cup. After the second day of practice in Sydney on Sunday, Anika gave a video message to the BFF.
There, she said, “Today is our second day of practice. It is very hot here. But we are adapting and it is getting better every day.”
The heat of Sydney, Australia, is a bit difficult for Anika from the cold environment of Sweden.
She said about this, “To be honest, I am having a little trouble with the weather. I am still trying to adapt to the weather here and the weather here is much hotter than in Bangladesh.”
Anika is trying to adapt to the team. She is having a good time with everyone, “I am staying with Afida Khatun again and we are having a lot of fun in Sydney. The understanding between everyone in the team is getting better.”
