Two men have been beaten to death by locals on suspicion of robbery in Gaibandha’s Sadullapur Upazila.
The incident occurred at dawn on Friday in Khorddmojahidpur village, according to Sadullapur Police Station chief (OC) Abdul Alim.
Police said the men were part of a group that allegedly accosted two pedestrians around 4:30am on Friday near the Madarhat Ferry Ghat Bridge on the Sadullapur-Thutiapukur road in Idilpur Union.
“They threatened the pedestrians with sharp weapons and took cash and gold ornaments,” OC Alim said.
