JUST VC congratulates PM Tarique Rahman

Following a landslide victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has formed the government independently. The Vice-Chancellor of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and his cabinet.

After securing an absolute majority in the election, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman was sworn in as Prime Minister on Tuesday.

In a congratulatory message to be issued on Wednesday , Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid stated that the new government has been formed through the restoration of the people’s voting rights and freedom of expression following a long struggle.

Under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, he expressed hope that Bangladesh will enter a new era of development, prosperity, and democracy.

He further hoped that under the new government, special emphasis would be placed on the country’s education and research sectors, enabling higher educational institutions, including JUST, to achieve world-class standards.
He also expressed optimism that the restoration of voting rights and the independence of the judiciary would strengthen the rule of law in the country.
