Schools to remain closed in entire Ramadan

The Ministry of Education has revised the annual academic calendar, announcing that all primary, lower secondary and secondary schools will remain closed for the full duration of Ramadan.

According to the updated schedule released on Wednesday, classes at both government and private secondary schools will be suspended starting today and will continue until 26 March.

Earlier, the High Court had directed that secondary schools remain closed throughout Ramadan following a writ petition. However, the Appellate Division’s chamber court later stayed that order, prompting the ministry to issue the revised closure schedule.
